2009 NHCOA Conference – Outstanding Community Service Award

2009 NHCOA Conference-Outstanding Community Service AwardAt each year’s Annual Conference Awards Dinner, NHCOA honors individuals and institutions who have made contributions toward improving the lives of Hispanic older adults and their families.  The NHCOA Awardees include individuals, community-based organizations, and corporations engaged in challenging yet rewarding efforts to support and empower our nation’s older adult population.

In this year’s conference NHCOA had the privilege to present Barbara Dieker, Director of Elder Rights Administration on Aging, with the Outstanding Community Service Award. Ms. Dieker has demonstrated leadership in continuity, care, and concern through services that effectively meet the needs of Hispanic older adults. She has strived to maintain a healthy community through the practice of outstanding corporate responsibility, and thus serves as a model to other agencies and individuals. On behalf of NHCOA, thank you, Ms. Dieker, for your dedication toward the Hispanic older adult community.

To facilitate your outreach with the Hispanic community we have gathered some resources that have materials in English to prevent, detect and report fraud. Some resources have access to Spanish materials. View Resources >>
